Terms of Service

Effective September 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Jacob Johnson ("Bragtown," "we," "us"), which runs bragtown.com and play.bragtown.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bragtown. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older and that using it is legal where you live. If we learn that someone under 18 is using the Service, we may close their account and delete their data.

2. Free play only, no real money

  • Bragtown is a free entertainment game. All games use scrap, a virtual currency that is given away for free and has no monetary value.
  • Scrap cannot be bought, sold, traded, transferred, withdrawn, or exchanged for money, skins, items, or anything of value, on Bragtown or anywhere else.
  • Bragtown is not a gambling service. There are no deposits, no payouts, and no prizes. Results in the games do not predict success at real-money gambling.
  • Balances, stats, and the leaderboard reset on a regular schedule (a "wipe"). We may change, reset, or remove scrap balances at any time, for example to fix a bug or undo cheating.

3. Accounts and Steam sign-in

You can play as a guest, or sign in through Steam to appear on the leaderboard. Steam sign-in happens on Valve's own website (steamcommunity.com). We never see or ask for your Steam password. Your use of Steam is also subject to Valve's terms. You are responsible for activity on your account.

4. Rules of conduct

You agree not to:

  • cheat, exploit bugs, use bots or scripts, or run multiple accounts to gain an advantage;
  • attack, overload, scrape, or try to get around the security of the Service;
  • post hateful, harassing, sexual, or illegal content in chat or names, or impersonate others;
  • advertise, sell, or offer to trade scrap or accounts for anything of value;
  • use the Service in any way that breaks the law.

We may remove content, reset balances, or suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.

5. Intellectual property and disclaimer of affiliation

Bragtown is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way associated with Rust, Facepunch Studios, Steam, Valve Corporation, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. All graphics, game assets, sounds, and brands are the property of their respective owners. Company, product, and service names are used for identification purposes only, and their use does not imply endorsement. Scrap is a free virtual currency with no real-world value.

The Bragtown name, logo, and original site design belong to Jacob Johnson. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

6. Changes and availability

The Service is provided for fun and may change, pause, or shut down at any time without notice. We may update these Terms, and the effective date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the new Terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, JACOB JOHNSON WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO US$50. Because the Service is free and scrap has no value, the loss of scrap, stats, or leaderboard position is not a compensable loss. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

9. Indemnity

You agree to cover any claims, losses, or costs brought against us that come from your breaking these Terms or the law while using the Service.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it locally.
